Limerence – Poem with audio

According to scientists, a chemical cocktail of neurotransmitters — phenethylamine, dopamine, norepinephrine and oxytocin — are at work when we fall for someone.

“Find what you love and let it kill you,” he said.
Lost myself in his eyes with his ‘gun’ to my head.
Russian roulette each time I release his trigger –
One in the chamber and one to deliver…

I figure; this love will be my death and also rebirth
He told me words have power and this is my curse.
So I rehearse and I practice, my addiction enchantment.
Walking through fire bare skinned, free of damage.

“Find what you love and let it kill you,” I responded.
Handcuffed without chains, dopamine bondage.
In critical condition, both hands behind my back.
Stronger than any drug, heroine… I made him crack…

…My inhibitions and previous addictions
Confessions of truth are stranger than fiction.
Run away or listen to intuition that says to come close.
He killed me with his kiss- He showed me my ghost.
