I went to Asia for the first time in April of this year. I hadn’t written anything in a while prior to my departure. My experiences in China and Japan gave me inspiration to last for a lifetime. The only souvenirs I purchased while there however were flip-flops and a magnet. Despite that, I was gifted with the vision to write this book that I’m very proud of.

I feel it’s an important story for where we are as a country and as a planet. Perspective can be mind-altering.

The title was birthed from an idea I had to turn this into something I had never written before…the result of 3:33 am crying in my hotel room in Shanghai, insatiable hunger, and a package of beef jerky I met eyes with while writing the prologue.

This novella, like my last, is a quick, page-turner. I prefer to write short but impactful stories to keep the reader’s attention in a world that is constantly distracting us.
