Honored to be a part of this timely song and beautiful video, with my chosen brother Bryan.
Bryan asked me to re-write the lyrics to the 3rd verse; to reflect the times we are currently living in, along with my own spoken word segments.
This is my first time hearing someone actually sing lyrics that I wrote, since I was in grade school. *gasps*
I cried.
Thank you for BELIEVING in me, Bryan.
I hope this song brings some light into your days, during these uncertain and frustrating times.
May it encourage you to spread more love and change your perspective(s). If you enjoy this, Please share! Now available on iTunes!
Humbled & hopeful. I love you all.

A MESSAGE FROM BRYAN:
A few weeks ago, I was in my bedroom bored and getting restless because of not working and not being able to be on stage performing. Not only was that weighing on me but also social media and the news channel everyday being filled with hate, arguing, and disagreements. Seeing ugly truths about people I thought I knew was getting too much! I hit record, sat on my bed and sang an old song I grew up singing. It was a song about still believing in love….
I thought man, that’s what the world needs now more than ever….. more love. Little did I know the song would get a lot of attention. My buddy Vanya wrote in the comments that he could see the hurt in my eyes and that I should record the whole song. I knew I needed to make the song reflect what was going on in the world today so I called on one of my best friends and author Khalilah to rewrite the third verse(my new favorite part of the song) and to write spoken word to be included. So here we are a month later with a little help from my friends. This is what you get with an iPhone, tripod and a laptop! My latest project that I am so excited about! Please Like and Share! I take that back…… Love and Share!
Special thank you to the squad of people that helped me….. Vanya, thank you for recreating the music! Your hours of dedication to your music and this project inspire me daily! Khalilah, thank you for sharing your writing skills with the world! Bryan Chan, thank you for being my eyes and ear and for your guidance and for not letting me put anything less than acceptable out into the world. I’ll give you the title- creative consultant! Kat, thank you for retouching and designing my photos and overall look for basically everything! (Go to @retouchbykat for your design needs!) Kerry Lacey, thank you for your time and skills and being part of the Glam Squad in Vegas for Khalilah! Mo’Danger, thank you for mixing me and helping me achieve the sound I wanted!
